DC10: a global clubbing institution and not your average Ibiza super club. In fact it’s far from it, and the very reason that in 1999 this former hangar was converted into a makeshift dancefloor, and opened at 6am every Monday for clubbers who didn’t want the weekend to finish on Sunday night. The emphasis at DC10 is providing quality underground music and encouraging an “anything goes” vibe: a far cry from the VIP tables of Pacha or the confetti cannons of Privilege. Being tucked away on the Salinas road (seemingly in the middle of nowhere), you can be sure that no one inside has just stumbled upon the club. The people who go to DC10 are there for the music, and not an all singing, all dancing pyrotechnic display.
DC10 will always be about Circoloco, however its rising popularity has seen the club open its doors beyond Mondays: From Disco to Techno takes place on Wednesday nights, and Tania Vulcano’s Pandemonium takes place every Friday throughout the season.
If you’re a seasoned Ibiza clubber, you won’t need any further introduction to DC10. For those who are venturing over to Ibiza for the first time this year and want to sample the alternative side to clubbing on the island, go and experience a truly unique vibe that has helped to shape global underground for the past decade, and will hopefully do so for many years to come.
